Be sure to make it over to the Healing Arts Village, sponsored by the Blue Ridge School of Massage and Yoga. It’s a place to relax, pick up new skills, get incredible bodywork, and buy art with spirit. You can experience dancing on the inside to feeling calm and purified.
Each year we present a wide variety of workshops like Yoga in the morning, Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine theories, Qigong, Feldenkrais, Aromatherapy, Meditation, Chanting, Dance, Tarot, and AA meetings in the evenings. All classes are free of charge. You can check back for this year's schedule and find it in the Floydfest program.
Our Bodywork Practitioners are of exceptional quality. Chris Pohowsky offers Rolfing, Deep work by Bob Grubel and Lisa Wade should not be missed, Gregg Steinberger offers amazing Thai Yoga Massage and Barefoot Shiatsu, and we usually have practitioners that offer Cranial Sacral work, Reflexology, Acupuncture, and Energy work like Polarity and Reiki.
Diety Art, An Herbal Apothecary, Crystals Galore, Fine Cedar Carvings, and Meditation Cushions are some of the lovely things you’re likely to see in our village too.
